Hi, my name is Richard Jones-Evans and I have been making Fudge for over 25 years. During which I have produced many flavors including Garlic Fudge , my original Wight Chocolate Fudge, Triple Chocolate Fudge and my latest attempt – Toffee Apple Fudge . Along side the standard flavors like Vanilla and Chocolate.
We have had lots of national /local media coverage in the papers , television and radio ranging from the Daily Telegraph newspaper , Blue Peter television show, BBC Radio 4 Women’s Hour, IW radio and The County Press, TV chef Rick Stein , a major UK political party and a MasterChef winner have all sampled or ordered .
I now produce fudge in my home kitchen using local ingredients wherever possible in fact I am proud to be a member of Wight Marque awarded to businesses who use a high content of local ingredients. Ingredients are so important and the cornerstone of my fudge is the wonderfully rich Biddeford Farm cream and butter and I have been using their ingredients since 2008. Their cream and butter comes from the milk of Guernsey cows which is thick and extra creamy with a lovely golden vanilla hue and definitely makes Isle of Fudge a truly unique product.
You will find us at various farmers’ markets, street fairs, school fetes, music festivals, car boot sales, garden shows and , in fact, most major events across the Island and occasionally on the Mainland.
